GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Hotel Telegrafo first was opened in 1888 by Don Guillermo del Toro and Doña Pilar Samoano, they made of this hotel one of the best of Latin America, with new services an outstanding reputation. Authentic and luxurious, telegrafo Hotel is reopened to remind us about the famous hotel it was at the end of the 19th century. Its eclectic façade discover today the architectural evolution it went through the time. The two first floors, respecting their original forms, are the prelude of the upper floors of a more contemporary style. Sixty three spacious rooms with high ceilings, located in the three floors have views mainly on Prado Promenade. Where nowadays the snack bar is located the old ruins of the original courtyard can still be discovered. Its big half archers, without plaster, shows bricks and masonry which contrasts with the modern design of the hotel.
